Teen dating violence is a pattern of physically, sexually, verbally, and/or emotionally abusive or controlling behavior in a dating relationship. One in three teens in the U.S. is a victim of physical, sexual, emotional or verbal abuse.
The Choose Respect Initiative promotes respect in teen dating relationships and raises community awareness about the prevalence of teen dating violence.
Important Dates:
- PSA Video Contest - submissions are due by February 16th.
- RespectFest - virtual events - March 31 - April 5th.
- RespectFest - In person event - April 6th, 1:00-4:00pm at Wheaton Community Recreation Center
