When our whole community shows up, victims of domestic violence can find safety, and help becomes impossible to miss.
Join our countywide Domestic Violence Awareness Month campaign to raise awareness, connect families with help, and support violence prevention throughout Montgomery County
This October, the Montgomery County Family Justice Center Foundation (MCFJCF) is inviting businesses, schools, neighborhoods, local leaders, and community members to help Make MoCo Purple for Domestic Violence Awareness Month.
Purple lights, signs, events, and community activities will help start important conversations, share warning signs, and make sure victims and families know where they can safely turn for help. Together, we can show that Montgomery County stands with those affected by domestic violence and is committed to preventing violence before it escalates.
The need for this work is urgent. Domestic violence can affect every part of a family’s safety and stability. Children may be exposed to violence at home, teenagers may begin experiencing unhealthy or abusive relationships, and victims often face their greatest danger when trying to leave. Awareness can help someone recognize abuse earlier, support a friend or family member, and connect with lifesaving resources.
Your donation will help MCFJCF expand the Make MoCo Purple campaign throughout the community and support the year-round programs that turn awareness into action. Contributions help provide:
